  • Sensory Toys and Puzzles for Physical Therapy

    Funded Jul 13, 2023

Thank you so so much for your generous donation. My students and I appreciate your kindness and look forward to using the puzzles and sensory toys during our PT sessions. This project will go a long way to meet the needs of my students and keep them motivated and excited!”

    With gratitude,

  • Make Physical Therapy Fun!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation.

When my students first saw the games, their faces immediately lit up in excitement. I am now able to really target the skills that I need to while keeping the students engaged and motivated. So far, the big favorite is the Pancake Pile-Up! game. I can get so creative with this board game alone. Whether or not I have an individual session or a group session, it allows for turn taking and imaginary play as we sit down to eat our pancakes at the end! I can set up a maze with the cones or the balance beam and have students build a stack as they go through. For the students who have a difficult time with walking up and down the stairs in school, I can really target strengthening and balance with the use of the step stool.

I really can't thank you enough for your donation. My students are eager to come with me to PT and it has made it easier to plan my sessions with the great variety of materials I can work with.”

  • Cleaning Supplies for a Safe and Healthy New Year

    Funded May 4, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation.

These cleaning supplies have been such a great help when it came to keeping the therapy room clean during the tough COVID period. Having these materials allowed me to sanitize surfaces and therapy materials as needed and frequently. It eased my worry to know that everybody that came into the therapy room were less likely to pick up germs because of the clean and safe environment.

I cannot thank you enough for your donation, it is greatly appreciated!!”

  • Two Screens for PT

    Funded Dec 27, 2020

First and foremost, thank you so very much for your generous donation.

One of the most critical aspects to being a physical therapist are the personal relationships that are built with the students and their families. In my case, as a related service provider, my students are at the center of what I do. With the pandemic, I was faced with the challenge of providing my services remotely via a tele-therapy platform. I have never imagined that would be something that I would need to do during my studies to becoming a physical therapist. During this time, I learned that having the appropriate technology is crucial to providing quality tele-therapy and to maintaining those important personal relationships.

With the donation I was able to see my students through the entirety of our sessions while providing real-time feedback. Remote tele-therapy is challenging for many students and with the appropriate technology, my students were able to stay motivated and engaged. Moreover, I was able to see and communicate with the student's families and get them involved towards reaching their goals.

Thank you so much again for helping me make a lasting impact for my students and families!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lisa, PT

For my students with special needs, when doing physical therapy via remote tele-therapy, it would be amazing if I could really see them, albeit virtually, as well as do activities involving share screen options. It is tough to do physical therapy virtually, mainly because it is tough not being hands on and seeing their impairments for myself. My students get really excited with videos that I share screen with through Zoom or Microsoft Teams. With a monitor and an adapter, I would be able to fully see them and keep them motivated for our PT tele-therapy sessions.
