Manipultives in Early Childhood Special Education
Funded Aug 3, 2023I just want to say thank you so much for donating to our class. With the money that was given, I was able to purchase manipulatives for the students to use in centers and table time. When we brought out some of the materials for our block center, the students were super excited to interact with the materials. For example, I purchased a wooden elevator that uses fine motor skills to make the platform elevate or descend and it has been a huge hit. Next week we will be introducing the moving ramp and I can't wait to see their faces light up! My high achieving students now have plastic letters they can practice with and build words to challenge them further. Thank you again so much for your donation and providing students with educational materials that will further their development and love for learning.”

Funded May 7, 2021Marc and Lynn Benioff,
I just want to say thank you so much for your support and donation for my classroom. I'm a first year teacher teaching virtual and in person special needs students. Its been a challenge getting hands on materials for my classroom, especially ones that I can let my virtual students use. With the TPT gift card, I was able to buy hands on resources to print off for not only my in class students, but my virtual students as well. Working in special education, I have learned that there are so many different needs between my students. One curriculum definitely doesn't fit all. I needed something that would engage my students and meet my students' needs without spending excess time and money for each lesson. With the TPT gift card, I was able to buy bundles that have multiple hands on activities that meet the needs of several students. Not to mention it saves me countless hours having to make it on my own. My family is much appreciated as well for your donation of time saving. Now, my students love getting to choose their choice of activity to do (which we have a variety now thanks to you!) and learning to take pride in keeping the materials clean and organized in our new containers. Again, I can't tell you thank you enough for your support! It has made this last part of the school year and school years to come more engaging for my students.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Antonucci

Funded Jan 1, 2021First off, let me begin to say thank you so much for your contribution to my posting. I am a first-year teacher and unfortunately with budget cuts and reduced pay, materials for students usually comes out of the teacher's pocket. Needless to say, I am definitely in need of help and resources. It was my goal to purchase multisensory materials that my students could use to help gain a more in depth of understanding. With your help, that was possible. We now are able to build letters using the magnetic pieces before we practice writing the letter. Students are also able to trace and feel sandpaper numbers which helps with number formation and fine motor skills. With the gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers and the laminating paper, I was able to purchase task cards in which the student can independently complete for a varied of Literacy and Math concepts. These cards are a huge hit with my students as it allows them to feel confident and independent. I can't thank you enough for your help and support. My first year has definitely had some challenges not just with materials but with virtual learning. Thank you for giving me a chance to bring some fun to the classroom.”
