I am trying to have each and every student at our school receive art materials that they can make our latest projects with. The first few month of remote learning has been making do with what they have at home, and while that has been ok, it hasn't given the kids the "OOOOO and AHHH!" pleasure of working with things they have never used before. The clay will be for learning color mixing for kindergarteners, the origami paper will make folded color wheels for first graders, the pipe cleaners and wire will be for second graders to learn about movement and the artist Alexander Calder, the looms will be learning about texture and cultural diversity for Forth and Fifth graders. I plan on getting every student at our school touched by this generous donation!
