With the items that I am requesting, I am trying to make it so that my students have the best hybrid/ Virtual Academy learning that is out there. By placing the 50" inch screen in the back of my room on the rolling TV cart, I will be able to put my opposite Cohort/ Virtual Academy Group on the screen allowing me to see all of there faces when teaching, as well as connecting the camera to the top of the screen for them to see me as I teach at the front of the board. This allows for the students to see the whole class and hopefully will feel more connected and feel that they are in the room regardless of being at home or online. The posters will allow students to see some visuals as they are looking on the screen to get a real feel that they are still in a classroom. Many of these are motivational messages that will help students find in these difficult times the strength to persevere through all the challenges they face. I will be placing them in the front of my room so they are visible to the cohort of students that are virtual for the day so they get again the feeling they are present within the classroom. In addition, the signs for a mask are very limited in our school. I am the social studies department chair, so it is important that my department has mask signs posted throughout mine and their classrooms to ensure all safety measures are being taken. If I can give my students a sense of normalcy within a learning environment, then I am doing my job as an educator. I feel these materials that I have requested will do just that!
