Modeling clay, wooden skewers, bendable wire, and string will be used for students to create a 3D model of the solar system. Creating this model allows students to have a hands-on learning experience. If we switch to full distance learning, students will still have a hands-on experience because each student can be provided with the modeling clay. Students now more than ever need opportunities to work hands-on with their learning. Due to the pandemic, tactile learning in other classes have been difficult, but, with these resources and materials, students are able to engage in more hands-on learning. The solar system model, the layers of the earth model, and galaxy light will be used as 3D models to show students. These models allow students to connect visually with the content. The water cycle and rock cycle bulletin board set will also be used to create a visual of earth's cycles. The sticky easel pads with be used for small group work and for class discussions. When observing phenomenon, students can write down observations and questions on the sticky easel pads. The LED lights will be used to create a positive classroom environment. Now, more than ever, creating a warm welcoming classroom experience is important to show students they have a safe place.
