If this project is completely funded my students will be able to experience the following: The liquid fusion play centers will allow my students a place that they will be able to interact using visual and tactile input, enabling them to self regulate (decrease inappropriate behavior by increasing self calming, which then provides each student the ability to focus and apply attention to task).
These sensory items will also provide visual and auditory input. Again, providing sensory stimulation as the student begins to seek intense sensations as they become either over or under stimulated.
The math items will provide the students with manipulatives to increase their knowledge to separate items into different attributes such as: size, color and shapes. One of the items that has been selected will provide the students to obtain the skills to focus on more/less than or equal to the values.
There are also items that will teach my students about their emotions and social interactions with those around them. For my students these skills are something that is difficult for them to understand and participate in.
Each of the items that have been selected will aid in the learning of each of my students' individual needs to meet their educational goals.
