  • Water Bottle Holders for Desks

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

I want to deeply thank you for the water bottle holders you donated to my third graders! It helps them keep their space organized, and we no longer have water bottles falling off desks all day long.

I provide water bottles for my students because they don't always remember or are not able to bring one from home. The students wash their water bottles in the classroom.

Thank you so much for providing a way for the students to store and keep clean their water bottles in the classroom. I appreciate your kindness.”

  • Spanish Books and Classroom Supplies

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you so much for the books and school supplies you donated to our amazing third graders. The students who speak Spansih were so excited to get books they can read in their primary language. Many of the books are printed in English and Spanish so students can practice reading in both languages. We also received a couple of workbooks for newcomer students learning English to practice English language skills. We also very much appreciate the other school supplies you donated to our classroom. Thank you for helping our class be a wonderful place to learn.”

  • Basic School Supplies

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation of books and school supplies to my third graders. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a popular book, and it is so fun to have enough for a small reading group. The vacuum has come in extremely handy. It is so nice for students to be able to clean up their own messes after learning activities. We especially appreciate the donation of water bottles. The students wash their own water bottles in class and keep them at school so they can always stay hydrated. The Guess Who game is a hit during indoor recess. Thank you for caring about these wonderful kids.”

  • Learning Fun

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

My students are loving the Play Doh and Legos. We use them for indoor recess or for Fun Friday, which is an incentive of 30 minutes of choice activities for students who completed all assigned work in the week. The school/home folders have also been extremely helpful in communicating with parents and helping students keep track of homework and papers that need to be signed by parents. The kids are really enjoying the books. I read the Minpins to the class, and now they are taking turns passing it around reading it independently. Thank you so much for donating to these amazing kids.”

Because of the pandemic, the students have less access to books at the school library. They also have faced many challenges with needing to be social-distanced at school including less recess, games, and activities, etc. Having more books in the classroom would really help give them something fun and educational to do. The only books we have in the classroom are ones I have bought with my own money, and we have a limited supply. I would really love for the kids to have books both fiction and nonfiction in different genres, so they can discover their interests. I believe having more exciting books to choose from will increase their love of reading and their reading skills. Some of my students come from low-income families and don't have books at home. I would love for them to be able to borrow books from the classroom to take home.
