Cleaning Wipes and Snacks!
Funded Sep 30, 2022The students were so excited to hear the snacks and wipes project was funded. We were close to being out of snacks and we had no wipes for several days. Now, their tummies will be filled every morning and afternoon at snack time and the wipes are going to be used to keep the room shining.
With the school year starting, I would like to share the learning we are doing in our room. First, we are learning how to become fluent in adding and subtracting within 10. In social studies, we are learning how to identify good choices over bad choices. We are also learning to write a personal narrative story by telling the events in order using detail and having an ending. We are building on phonics with long vowel sounds and continue to read independently with reading swag!””

Funded Jan 27, 2022This project has transformed our classroom for several reasons. The chair pockets have done a lot to improve room 126. First, we spend less time on transitions throughout the day, because our learning materials are right in reach. This allows more time for learning and some extra recess time. The kids love that!
Also, the students are just more organized with their supplies having unified chair pockets. Each student follows our chair pocket expectations. It's awesome. The chair pockets are extremely durable and many teachers are very jealous of our room set-up.
As we move into the next month, our classroom continues to learn about plants, place value, and read informational text. We thank you again for your generosity.”

Funded Aug 12, 2021I am so sorry it has taken me so long to write this impact letter. I wanted to make sure I had enough time to sit down and tell you all how much your donation and our new classroom materials mean to us. When I told my students that our project had been funded, they were so happy and, more patiently than me, waited excitedly for their new materials to arrive. The morning the boxes were delivered, we immediately ripped them. We unwrapped the sight work readers, sound flipbooks, guided reading books, and CVC words match.
My students couldn't get their hands on these reading activities. Most of the reading activities help students become fluent in reading and writing. We use our new reading material for centers, reading small groups, whole group, partner reading, and independent reading. I had a group of students who grad the guided reading books and said, "I can read these words!" The guided reading book has helped change some of my student's words, "I can't read" to "can I read." we are forever grateful for each person who donated. Thank you for making a difference in our classroom."”
