All of our students are interested in the books and the stories that we share with them. They love being interactive with all of the songs and stories that we do in our classroom. The items in this project will encourage them to retell the stories and songs on their own or to their friends, enhancing their storytelling abilities. As they progress through the school year they will be able to be more creative with these items so they can tell their own stories along with what they already know from the books. Felt board stories peek the interest of some students that aren't typically interested in reading or looking at the books, which can be a stepping stone into literacy for these students.

About my class
