Flexible seating allows students to be comfortable in learning. The material and supplies I am requesting would be used for grades K-6 in our school library. I have noticed the kids like to sit in creative ways while reading. Students tend to sit and focus longer if they are sitting creatively. I want to encourage my students to read as much as they can and to make it fun and creative for them. The more creative we can make the library seating, the more creative the kids imaginations can be while reading the books in our library. The seating I am requesting is creative but also safe. The students currently try to sit creatively in the traditional chairs, and I worry about them falling or breaking the chairs. I do not want to tell them they can’t sit in a creative way, but want them to be safe. This would give them a better opportunity to learn while sitting in comfort!
