Media art at our high school has traditionally been making paper mache sculptures and collages from magazine cutouts. While those projects involve some creativity, they teach nothing about media art in its modern form. These iPads will help students gain knowledge as well as experience creating many forms of media art that are relevant now, such as different forms of graphic design, illustration, and 2D and 3D modeling and animation. This will hopefully also lead to the knowledge of different areas of art in the modern professional world of which the students are not aware. This has the potential to open eyes and doors to what they can accomplish in the professional world after high school!
