  • Whiteboards for Interactive Math and Reading Success!

    Funded Aug 23, 2024

    Dear Donors,

Thank you for the generous donation of whiteboards for our classroom. These will greatly enhance our math, writing, and spelling lessons! These whiteboards will offer interactive and effective learning opportunities. Your support truly makes a difference in our students' educational journey. Personal whiteboards will enable interactive, hands-on learning for students in math, writing, and spelling. Without the community's support and donations like yours, achieving this goal wouldn't be possible. Thank you!

We are deeply grateful for your kindness.”

    With gratitude,

  • Headphones and Snacks!

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

Thank you for donating headphones to our class! Your support has significantly helped our first graders' learning experiences. With these headphones, our students were able to immerse themselves in learning apps for reading and math without distractions. That makes all the difference! They were able to focus better on their tasks, engage with interactive lessons, and truly enjoy the stories and activities. The headphones have made a noticeable difference by allowing the students to fully absorb the content of audiobooks and reading exercises, which has been incredibly motivating for them.

I am deeply grateful for your kindness and support. Your contribution has not only improved their concentration but also made learning a more enjoyable and effective experience. It's heartwarming to see how this small change has had such a positive impact on their education. Thank you for helping our students thrive and succeed!”

  • Math Galore!

    Funded Nov 28, 2022

My students are having such a grand time using the manipulatives during small group instruction. They love the clip on math addition and subtraction number sentences. My students thought that it was so kind that someone has helped out our classroom by donating materials! I always hope to instill kindness in my students, so for them to see this example in real life means so much to me. The students also really thrive when using hands on materials to learn. We create word problems or a math story and use the manipulatives we received to work out our math story. This is especially effective for my students who need the additional support of a hands on approach.”

  • Magnificent Math Experience

    Funded Sep 30, 2022

Thank you for helping our classroom learn and grow with these manipulatives! It's generosity and kindness from you all that truly helps make an impact in the classroom. My students are very thankful, as am I! They are super excited to take on learning with a more hands on approach. I cannot say thank you enough!”

  • Hands on Math Math Manipulatives Bonanza!

    Funded Sep 4, 2021

This was a lovely project to have put together, and made even more so important by your thoughtfulness and kindness! Everything in the math bonanza project ties directly to each unit for 1st grade math curriculum. Kids learn best when they're able to manipulate materials in order to come to their own understanding of the concept. It's important for us to use manipulatives throughout the learning process as we know that we ALL learn differently from one another. I believe manipulatives can bridge that gap! Needless to say, your contributions will remain helpful and appreciated throughout the years!”

  • Foster Organizational Skills Using Folders!

    Funded Aug 24, 2021

Happy New Year! This year we thank you for making an impact in our classroom with your thoughtful and helpful contributions to our project. It's important to instill a sense of organization to our students so that they may keep their ideas, work, and projects organized in order to achieve a certain fluidity in the classroom! Not all folders were available in the end, but we were able to get replacement materials such as coins! The money unit is such a huge part of 1st grade curriculum, so in the end, everything worked out for the better. We thank you for your help!”

  • Magnificent Math Manipulatives Adventure!

    Funded Apr 20, 2021

Know that you made learning place value and 10 more 10 less way more engaging for my students! They were entirely too excited to know they were receiving new and personal manipulatives for learning. Since place value is a chunk of our unit, we used the place value blocks almost every day in some fashion--either to reinforce their understanding or to challenge students. Teaching math to first-graders requires a lot of hands-on learning, so having these blocks to really touch and move has made all the difference for my students' progress. The number 73 is no longer just that, it's actually made of seven tens and three ones--for a first grader to understand that concept, manipulatives are a must! Thank you so much for your thoughtful donations, it is with your help that my kids were able to express their learning in an engaging manner.”

  • Telling Time! What Does the Clock Say?

    Funded May 28, 2021

This particular project was so fun to use in the classroom! The students loved having little clocks of their own to manipulate as we learn. For such a great experience, we have you to thank! It is incredibly hard to find materials that all 47 students can use independently, so to see each of them using a personal clock to learn to tell time to the hour and half-hour has been incredible. Telling time can be such a complicated concept for my first-graders, but I knew that if they had something at hand to concretely see the hands moving to change the hour then the concept becomes less frustrating and more exciting. Again, thank you for your donations. Our telling time unit was extremely engaging!”

  • Unforgettable Science Experience!

    Funded Dec 29, 2020

As I hoped, the students were absolutely thrilled with the mini greenhouse that was donated! We studied the growth of our seeds from the beginning to end. Once the seeds sprouted, they joy in their eyes would have been a lovely moment to capture. It will be a moment kept as one of my most favorite teaching memories. Thank you for the greenhouse!

The solar system model was another exciting project my students loved. We studied objects in the sky and went a little further for first grade by examining the planets in our solar system. It was incredible to bring the solar system on a smaller scale so the students can explore and manipulate.

These experiences would not have been possible without your thoughtfulness and contribution. You both have had a helping hand in expanding their minds and imagination.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tran

It is my hope that my students will still receive an intentional and meaningful education despite the setbacks of this particular year. I have 46 students, half of whom are learning from home. To provide some semblance of normalcy, it is my fervent hope that I can provide manipulatives for my students to show their thinking and understanding of math concepts. We are going to dive into math word problems very soon, and I would love for both virtual and face-to-face students to have magnetic boards to represent word problems!
