Math - Listening, Seeing, Practicing
Funded Dec 31, 2024Thank you very much for your generous donation! It is such a great way to start 2025 knowing my students will have supplies to help them be successful. I cannot wait to see their engagement using these items. Donors such as you are a valuable resource for public education! Thank you again for your generosity.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Allison and Austin McChord.Organize My Math - One, Two, Three
Funded Oct 23, 2023Thank you very much for your generosity! My students were excited to receive their binders, section dividers, graph and lined paper. They were glad to hear that unknown people donated so that they could be more organized in their daily math class.
Until the binders were received, students had a difficult time organizing their work daily. Imagine each student having a large, student edition workbook on their desk, having to try to write on pages when the spine of the book made it nearly impossible to lay flat, and trying to take notes on whatever paper they could find (hoping that they would find the paper the next day).
With your generous donations, the students can now tear the pages out of their student edition (thankfully, they are three-hole punched) and put them in their workbook section. Also, students can leave their notes in the binder section for notes, and, voila, they are easily found the next day. Our district, like others, has very limited funding available so to have lined and graph paper available for the students helps immensely.
I have also encouraged the students to take care of the binders so that they will be able to be reused next year. It is a wonderful lesson for them to learn about the generosity of others, and understand that with care, your generosity will allow other students to also benefit from these binders.
Thank you again!”

Funded Sep 9, 2021Thank you for your generous donations for white boards, markers and wipes. My students love using them! We use them to show math their math problems (or as I call it, making their math visible!). It is wonderful to just be able to clean the boards instead of throwing away scrap paper!! When I told my students the name of this project, many of them have taken it to heart. Instead of using a wipe once, they continue to use it for the whole class or offer it to another classmate to use. Many of my students also take out their boards when I wouldn't think to ask them to take them out. I have also heard from teachers on my team in other subjects that the students are using the boards in those classes.
The boards have been great during the pandemic. Since students still need to be 3 feet apart even when working in groups, they can write their answers on their boards and display them to their partners, who can easily read them.
I again thank you for your generous donations which has allowed math to happen in the classroom while also saving the environment.”
