  • It's the Final Countdown!

    Funded May 7, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project, It's the Final Countdown! I wanted the end of the year to be fun and exciting for my students and with your help, I was able to provide them with many fun activities and items. For "H" day, we learned about Hawaii, ate Hawaiian rolls, and did the hula hoop. Each student received their own lei, which they loved! For "G" day, we played games with the deck of cards requested. Students played Go Fish and memory with the cards. They had a blast! Other items in this project was used for my Needs and Wants activity, including the fun socks and light up bouncy balls.

Thank you again for all your support!”

  • Diggin' for Dinosaurs

    Funded May 7, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project, Diggin' for Dinosuars. The ABC end-of-year countdown is a monumental event that requires many items to make the end of year fabulous! With your help, each of my students were able to receive their own treasure chest filled with gold and silver necklaces. Their chest was also filled with pearls, gems, and gold coins. They were very excited to participate in our P for pirate day! We have a few weeks to go until we reach A, the last day of school.

We will be using the dinsoaur eggs for our D for dinosaur day. I can't wait for this exciting day to arrive. Thank you again for supporting my classroom!”

  • Building Imaginations One Block at a Time

    Funded Mar 8, 2024

Thank you for your generous donation to my project Building Imaginations One Block at a Time. My students enjoy the Magna-tiles. Whenever we have a rainy day or some free time, these magnetic blocks are a huge hit for everyone! This project included additional planter pots. My students will use them to plant flowers for spring and will decorate their pots using the markers. Thanks to your donation, my students also had a blast decorating their Chick ornament during our Easter activities. At the end of the day, students picked a plastic egg that had a small squishy toy. They were all so surprised and loved them!

Thank you so much for your support!”

  • Germ-Free Classroom

    Funded Feb 27, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project, Germ-Free Classroom. First graders are full of germs, which means keeping our classroom stocked full of tissues, hand sanitizer, and hand soap is so important. With your help, we have more tissues to help get us through until the end of April. We always go through so much hand soap too! The Dial refill is truly needed and I thank you for helping us with the refill bottle. This project also included pencil sharpeners - one for colored pencils and one for regular pencils. My students love the freedom to sharpen their own pencils using the colorful sharpener. Thank you again for your support!”

  • Protect Me Please

    Funded Jan 23, 2024

Thank you so very much for your generous donation to my project, Protect Me Please! This project was created so that my students will have something to help keep them safe while on summer break. Thanks to you, my students will be able to have DIY baseball caps to help protect their head from the Sun. Each student will receive their own hat and will use fabric markers to decorate it with fun details. They will also each receive a tube of SPF 30 sunscreen to help protect their skin from the the harmful rays of the Sun. I appreciate your support so much! Thank you!”

  • Protect Me From the Rain

    Funded Jan 23, 2024

Thank you so very much for your generous donation to my project Protect Me From the Rain! This project was inspired when I discovered many of my students have never owned their very own umbrella. Our weather always fluctuates and my students usually come in dripping wet when it rains. I am so thankful that this project allowed all my students to have their very own umbrella, and colorful ones as well! My students are using them and they love telling me that they love their umbrella! The neon sunglasses in this project will be part of their end-of-year gift during the summer month. Thank you once again for your support!”

  • Snack Please!

    Funded Dec 11, 2023

Thank you so very much for your generous donation to my project Snack Please! I have 23 students and we go through snacks so quickly. This project has helped my students curb their hunger throughout our day. The Poptarts are always a fan favorite and they enjoy being able to have a variety of flavors to choose from. The students also love Pringles and they are so hard to keep around, because they want to eat more than just one container! Another fan favorite is the Skinny Pop popcorn and Pirate Booty (and mine too!). Thank you once again for your support!”

  • Change of Clothes

    Funded Dec 11, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project Change of Clothes. As a teacher, I've never had any extra clothes for my students if they had an accident or got dirty. Thanks to you, I now have sweatpants and leggings for my students. I already have used them for both my boys and girls. They were so happy that I could provide them with a change of clothes. I also now have icepacks to use when my students have an injury. This is so helpful and I am so lucky to have them in my own classroom. I appreciate your help so very much!”

  • Recess Fun!

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project Recess Fun! My students love to play, and thanks to you, they now have some fun toys to use indoors. The Gone Fishin' game is one of their favorite games. I had to have set rules on how they had to take turns, so that everyone could have a chance to play. We also love to play the Red Light, Green Light game. Again, we have to take turns since we play inside, but the fun never stops! My students love asking for the Paint By Sticker books and they always love the Water Handheld Arcade games too. Once again, I appreciate your support!”

  • Holiday Bliss!

    Funded Oct 23, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project Holiday Bliss! Each year, I try to provide my students with some holiday cheer by stuffing a stocking with goodies and treats.

With your help, I was able to stuff their stocking with cool holiday glasses, comfy socks, light-up rings and bracelets, and Christmas pencils. My students were so happy to receive their stocking! When they emptied it out, they just loved putting on their glasses and wearing the rings. The socks were a great hit as well.

Thank you again for your support!”

First grade in a VIRTUAL WORLD is tough, to say the least, but my students are putting forth 100% effort and working hard each day! In our classroom, my students make home-made stockings for the holidays and then in a normal environment, donations from families would fill those stockings. However, this year due to COVID, donations cannot be accepted. We do not get to experience decorating cookies, making home-made cards and ornaments, participating in fun math and literacy stations, or just good ole emotional community building. The stocking stuffers in this project will be used to fill those stockings and to let my students know just how much their hard work is appreciated! Help me celebrate my fabulous FIRSTIES!
