This year it is more important for my Pre-Calculus students to understand how trigonometry is used in the world, more importantly in our own neighborhood. Our school is located about thirty minutes from Space X. I would like for my students to build their very own rocket from scratch. So in order for this to happen, each student will need their very own engine and recovery wadding. Understanding how rockets work, how trigonometry is being applied, and how to work in teams is the goal that I want my students to accomplish.
