Let's Get Ready to Math!
Funded Sep 6, 2023That you once again for your generosity to our classroom project, it truly made a great difference. Students are so excited to step into our "green" classroom. many of them have mentioned that they look foward to this class because they feel so relaxed. We were also able to do many projects with the rulers and the scissors. It made it very easy for the students to become accountable in regards to their projects. Students continue to use the rulers day by day. We are recently covering a lesson about domain and range and the use of the ruler are essential given that it is an algebra 1 class and it being the first time that they hear these terms.”

Funded Apr 6, 2023Thank you again for the support and generosity you have shown me and my students. Because our project was fully funded, we were able to make some nice changes to our classroom. Being a math teacher, students always have a plethora of questions when it comes to completing assignments. That being said, because my room is not very spacious and my largest class being 37 students, I ask the students to come see me at my desk if they have any questions. It is easier for them to maneuver around each other compared to me having students move. The contact paper was used to cover my outdated wood desk. When my students always commented of the fact that it was so old and dull looking. So they decided to wrap it with the contact paper. They had so much fun doing it. The acrylic stand gets passed around class for students to use. There is never a day where i don't get asked for a pencil, so the pencils and erasers are always being used in class. Thank you once again for funding our project.”

Funded Dec 31, 2022thank you once again for your generosity and for helping our classroom project come to life. Both me and my students are grateful. Students were able to get their math worksheets in class if they wanted to. They had open access to our printer all them time. Students who are more hands on really did appreciate being able to connect their chromebook to the printer and printing out their worksheet. I too was able to print out vocabulary words to hang on our word wall. On the last day of school I was also able to gift my senior students a keepsake to add to their yearbook, the famous poem "oh The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss. Thank you once again!”

Supplies For Success
Funded Oct 26, 2022Thank you once again for your contribution to student success. These tools help students succeed in class. Wirth the whiteboard, the students are able to easily show their work as they work on an online platform. It is also easy for me as a teacher to provide feedback to the student. The pens and the highlighters help me color code notes. Color coding helps the students depict the steps that are required to solve a math problem. I am happy to share that with the chalk markers, we have created different math posters that are displayed around our class.”

Funded Aug 9, 2022These supplies have greatly helped the students in class. My students now know that nothing can stop them if they have the right tools. These pencils, erasers helped the students complete notes, classwork, test, quizzes and homework. The sharpener ensured that they were always ready to learn. The students were very impressed by the sharpener. They loved the fact that it indicates that their pencil is sharpened by lighting up. The plan is to have these supplies available for the students all the time. They will no longer have to ask and hope that someone will lend them a pencil, their mind will be at ease as there will be supplies available to them. Once again we are truly grateful.”

Funded Apr 8, 2022these supplies made a great difference in our classroom and in student learning throughout the semester. Because of covid, students seem to be a little more anti social. With these supplies, every student was able to get their own supplies and work individually or in a group, at least thats how it started. These supplies allowed for endless possibilities, for example during group work. Students engaged with one another and created beautiful mathematical representation of the topics that we were covering. In the pictures you can see them working in groups and color coding the procedures so that it it is easier to explain to the class.”
