Funded Jan 13, 2022My students and I are very grateful for the cleaning supplies as well as the wonderful note from our donor. My students are keeping themselves safe, healthy, and very clean by taking care of one another with the support of these supplies. The hand soap is crucial to keeping clean. My class is practicing healthy and environmentally safe habbits by using their washcloths for wiping their hands. They appreciate the resuse of the washcloths and continued supply of soap. They are practicing good hygene.”

Rich Books!
Funded Jan 10, 2022Thank you so much for this wonderful gift of books. They are a wealth of knowledge for my students. They appreciate reading them over and over and being able to use them in small group. It is really important to share the beautiful differences that make us humans. My students are using these books to be read along with the videos they are able to watch with the hard copy in their hands. The multicultural exposure for my students is crucial to accepting all cultures no matter where they are from.”

Funded Dec 24, 2021The books collection is amazing. My students love reading Dr. Seuss's collection. It really gave them the opportunity to get exposure of the variety that is out there. I especially appreciated these books for my student Jada who is struggling with reading due to a speech impedement. She was so much more comfortable reading it independently due to the ease of the rhymes in the books. I cannot describe the joy and confidence some of them are beginning to show. These books are a treasure. Thankyou.”

Funded Oct 10, 2021My students are very grateful for the wipe off clear plastic pockets. They were able to work in small group sharing their findings with our nonfiction reading project and take notes on the clear plastic pockets. Having the markers and pockets were very useful in the classroom.
Having the tools at their fingertips makes it easier and smoother to work in small groups. We saved paper which makes less garbage.nIt was great to see team work and student collaboration as well as equity in the room.”

Funded Oct 5, 2021My students and I really appreciate the laminating pouches, the wipe off board markers, and of course the books, especially for our low readers. Students created Identity Boards (CRSE).
Student work and pictures were laminated to protect their work and have the opportunity to share with the entire school.
Having the tools for their project made it much easier and accessible for parents to share their family pictures with me and I was able to print and laminate them. Pictures are attached of their beautiful work.”

Funded Jun 17, 2021My students were super excited when they received school supplies that they can keep and use individually. Having the supplies ready for them to use from day one has been a blessing in the classroom. My students were ready to dive into learning. Having the tools they need such as folders ready to go home along with their writing tools made the transition of home and school smooth for them.
Parents didn't have the stress of running out to get supplies on time. My class is grateful and on board with all that is expected of them and ready to learn. We appreciate the gift of school supplies we have received and are very glad they get to use them at home and in school.
The mini composition books as well as the stickers and the colored pencils are a great hit in the classroom. My students are using the mini composition books as a SEL activity each day to draw out their feeling and then share them with their classmates which gives them the confidence to speak and show equity.”

Funded Apr 7, 2021I am so proud of the great work my students are currently doing using the books that were donated by you. I have so many that struggle with handwriting, paragraph formation, and not to mention spelling.
My students got excited that they will be able to use and keep the book. They felt relieved to have books that can gear towards their need.
I am looking forward to using these books for my 3rd graders entering back to school in September. These tools are a key to their upcoming success. Yeah!”

Funded May 4, 2021We are using our Roomba, our speaker, and our colored printer in some amazing ways. My students come into a much cleaner environment since we run the Roomba twice a day and it is very helpful since we have breakfast in the room due to covid.
The colored printer is a blessing. My students completed all their work in their non-fiction unit and utilized the colored printer for pictures and research they were able to use since they are in person learning. It made a great impact on their presentations and performance in the class and brought some kind of norm back in the classroom.”

Funded Dec 16, 2020Receiving these iPads in a time where the technology is at the forefront of our lives was a blessing. Based on ITEA, 2000, technological literacy is the ability to use, manage, understand, and assess technology. These devices are able to help us reach these standards in the classroom with in person learning.
My students were able to work in small guided reading groups and the iPads made it a great learning tool as they shared their ideas with one another. They were able to highlight, underline, and take notes as they read various texts from different cultures.
Students at 42 were especially pleased making their own iMovie sharing their nonfiction reading and writing projects they created from hands on and then transferring it into a short iMovie. This was a great way to keep an online record of the important work they are doing in person and we were able to share it with the remote learning students in our school. It gave them a way to connect with all those that were not able to be in person learning.”
