  • A Little Inspiration Goes a Long Way

    Funded Aug 13, 2023

Our pencils pouches are a hit in the classroom. Whenever the students feel a little discouraged I remind them to look at the pencil pouch, the message is just for them. Their pouches are full of all the utensils needed to learn every day. We have even found matching dividers for testing.

As my students navigate through middle school, I appreciate your contribution to their self-esteem to know they matter, they are capable and every dream can come true with effort and support.

My students will keep these messages in their hearts for a long time.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kendrick

  • We Are Still Vibing!!

    Funded Aug 1, 2023

My students enjoy the luxury of my classroom. Unlike many classes with common individual desks, my student feel the sense of family in my classroom. They have learned to appreciate good furniture and how it helps them collaborate and provides them with more space.

What impacts me as a teacher, is that my students are exciting to tell others, their class is in a cafe. They are learning that many business relationships begin in a cafe and move to a boardroom. As they learn each lesson, they are moving towards the boardroom of their career choice. We appreciate your contributions to the Kendrick cafe.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kendrick

  • A Sense of Touch and Sound

    Funded Apr 25, 2023

I can't explain how impactful receiving mouses and headphones are to our classroom. We are utilizing a new curriculum this year. The curriculum includes mini videos to help students understand the multiple concepts in mathematics. This curriculum allow students to move at their own pace, which means several students are on several different lessons at the same time. It would have been hard to have each student listen to different videos at the same time without the headphones. This is definitely a blessing to my room.”

  • Math is a Vibe

    Funded Jul 23, 2022

We truly appreciate your contribution to our classroom being comfortable for all students. We have enjoyed our tables everyday. Students have been able to collaborate while having space to use manipulatives to solve math problems in a fun way.

My students love coming to my class. They feel the "Math Cafe" vibe as soon as they walk into the classroom.

I can't wait to add new seating next year with tall cafe tables and a few carpets for an even more comfortable environment.

Again, we truly thank you for your love and support. The students feel loved and that makes me happy.”

  • Who Moved My Cheese?

    Funded Aug 30, 2021

I can not thank you enough for contributing to my students. My students love showing other classes their "handy sack" which contain their essential utensils for math. Along with the mouse and mouse pad, students received ear buds. My students have become confident in navigating through our various apps used in class and at home.

41% of my students receive specials services for various reasons. I have several that have trouble with managing the mouse pad on their Chromebook, but are super savvy with the wireless mouse . Part of our new testing systems includes a "drag and drop" segment, the wireless mouse has help these students tremendously, by allowing them to accurately place their answer choices in the correct location.

Now, of course we don't only use our mouse for testing and homework. We use a fun educational platform that rewards our students with online games after mastering different subjects. When we compete with other classes, I'm sure our victories are because of our wireless mouse.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kendrick

As my new 6th grader's transition into middle school, I am looking to introduce and equip them with physical, mental, emotional, and educational tools to succeed in a STEM environment. Students will be creating and presenting projects in math with tools like Google Slides. Efficiency is critical as students learn to navigate and master utilizing technology in the classroom. Because many students are not fully comfortable using a mouse pad, having a wireless mouse will help them maximize their participation in the class and at home.
