Students will use flexible seating to move while learning. Research has shown that students who have ADHD, ADD, poor fine motor function, and other learning disabilities, respond positively to being provided with flexible seating options such as stools, balls, and bands around their chairs. These items will help students stay focused on their work and less worried about trying to maintain their attention. I will use the storage cubes and shelves to keep my room decluttered while also keeping needed supplies on hand. Students will use these tools while learning to read.
