  • 3D Printing

    Funded Sep 17, 2021

    Thank you for your funding. My students have not been able to use the machine just yet, but we are working up to the lesson for the spring. They think it is cool they will be able to make their own fidget type toys, Croc charms and phone cases.

    Many of them have never seen a 3D printer, let alone use one. We will be working towards building our creative and entrepreneurial skills with our 3D projects. many of them have expressed interest in being able to make materials for resell. Even though we will not be able to resell the items we make with this machine, they will have the knowledge to create their own items. If they are able to purchase a machine, they will know how to use it and how to create their own designs.

The fields of STEM and marketing are ever-changing. When students are allowed to be creative, they often times find new passions. As they get older, those passions can turn into careers. This year we would like our students to create their own businesses. A part of this will be a showcase at the end of the year where students will be allowed to sell their merchandise. Some items can be custom-made on a 3D printer. Students can also create models of new inventions with a 3 D printer. There is no better way to showcase a new invention than with a model.

About my class
