  • An Apple for Mental Health!

    Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and donating to my "An Apple for Mental Health!" project request! The Apple device which was funded is being used by more of my students when it comes to accessing online assessments, assignments, and other resources when we have our many group sessions.

    It was a little challenging getting to use a Mackintosh device but after the first few weeks, the children caught on and adapted to this new interface. Since then, we have used it also for testing and evaluations. Thank you for enhancing our learning environment.”

In my school, there are students that I serve who have various special needs as well as multiple learning styles. Because of the learning challenges they face, we have to find ways to accommodate each child. Issues that relate to learning styles sometimes require that these students use touch screen computers as they would grasp concepts and retain knowledge longer and easier. In March, we were abruptly changed to a virtual and remote style of teaching and learning, which was a struggle in itself for everyone. Now that we will be starting the school year virtually once again, some of my students share the nightmare of crashing and outdated computers. We are requesting one Lenovo IdeaPad3 that has a built-in camera and microphone that can be used seamlessly for students to remotely complete assignments.
