  • We're on the MOVE!

    Funded Nov 22, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity. My scholars and I can't wait to continue our journey as authors. We are on the move. Your support will help us continue our journey during these new and different times. We are excited and looking forward to continuous growth. We appreciate you all.”

  • We "WRITE" The World

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you all so much for your generosity and support in fully funding our project. My scholars felt like they could truly "Write the World". Our first writing prompt was about them becoming president of our great country. They were able to share how they would create change by being the change they hope to see.

These valuable writing tools also helped us to prepare for our state assessments. I am hopeful that each scholar will show growth and mastery as they continue to"Write the World".

Again, it truly blessed my heart and theirs. The smiles on their faces were more than I needed to help keep me going during such trying times.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Walker

Writing the World will afford the students the opportunity to express themselves without judgement. During these trying times, my students have been away from me and unable to express themselves as freely through their writing and art. Writing the World would bring back some of their creativity. It will afford those shy scholars an opportunity to truly express themselves. Many scholars have thoughts they are often afraid to verbalize. Writing the World will help to eliminate and lessen this fear. Writing the World will also allow scholars to travel to places unseen through the mafic and stroke of a pen/pencil. Scholars will be able to create safe havens for themselves and others. Writing the World will also allow scholars to become penpals with scholars around the world. It will allow students to make connections with other scholars and express and share how they have handled distance-learning. Writing the World will also be our way of being the change and example we hope to see and become.
