Funded Dec 1, 2020Wow. What an amazing time students have had thinking critically as they pondered the process of creating a robotic structure using Legos. We've been limited in the number of students who could actually interact with the Mindstorms - but only because of C-19. Our school allowed students to attend classes virtually for the first half of the year; however, I did have a limited number of kiddos who actually could come into the classroom during the second half of the year. We've been advised it's "all hands on deck" in August (in person only), and I'm looking forward to maximizing the Mindstorms to their fullest extent at that time.
Students were drawn to the learning center area where the Mindstorms were housed. They were incredibly curious and super excited to get started with their new educational resources. I did, uh hum, have to tell them, "We will FIRST discuss the steps in this super sensational STEM center, then it's all yours!!" Mercy me. They were itching to get busy with it immediately. I'm honored to be the avenue by which your donation will impact student learning.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Latham
