  • Signed, Sealed, & Set to Go!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thanks for believing in our ability to assist scholars with ACT registration. As a teacher, leveraging a MacBook for registering scholars for the ACT was transformative in streamlining a critical process that could otherwise be complex and time-consuming. The integration of technology-facilitated smoother administration and enabled me to empower students by guiding them through the registration process, improving accessibility and efficiency.

The MacBook's multitasking capabilities allowed me to manage the ACT registration process while maintaining my other teaching responsibilities. I could quickly switch between tasks like grading, lesson planning, and communicating with scholars, parents, and administrators without slowing down or losing focus on any single priority. This increased efficiency was key to balancing the workload while ensuring that ACT registration remained a high priority for my scholars. Ultimately, the use of the MacBook in registering scholars for the ACT had a significant impact on their overall readiness for the college admission process.”

  • Cute and Clean!

    Funded Jun 14, 2024

You rock in a major way! Our scholars had needs that you took upon yourself to fulfill. First, I thank you so much for your prompt willingness to assist in this matter. Personal hygiene is not something that should hinder a child from attending school however it does. This is where you have helped me tremendously.

You have helped young men and young ladies get they products that they need to keep up their hygiene. Through your generous contributions we are able to restore confidence and cuteness. We could not have made this possible without you. May God bless you!”

  • Take 2!

    Funded Dec 25, 2022

Teachers today have a wide variety of needs to meet in their classrooms. Students have different educational levels from regular education to special education and even to gifted, or they may have a variety of social and emotional challenges to overcome. Technology, used correctly, can help mitigate these circumstances through differentiation and provide the opportunity for every student to access a quality education.

Students can benefit from using technology to present information. Technology is also useful when students have a hard time reall expressing themselves. For example, there are many applications that help students overcome barriers that are created by their insecurities. This makes them feel good about themselves as well as creates a winning attitude.”

  • Write... Lights! Cameras! Action!

    Funded Dec 29, 2022

The fine arts also provide learners with non-academic benefits such as promoting self-esteem, motivation, aesthetic awareness, cultural exposure, creativity, improved emotional expression, as well as social harmony and appreciation of diversity. Learning from art is fun and interactive.

One reason why fine art is important is that it is educational. People of all ages and abilities can benefit from learning about art because it reveals a wide range of visual, historical, spiritual, and emotional concepts.

It is especially beneficial to start browsing and learning about art from an early age as it provides tools to teach foundational life skills like color, line, shape, and space. As young art lovers grow, they not only learn about different periods of art, mediums, and styles but can use the prism of art to study a variety of other subjects including history, sociology, psychology, and literature. We create different opportunities for our students to participate and grow.

Many thanks to you for your thoughtfulness during this time of growth.”

  • High 5! Making the Grade for the A. P. Exam

    Funded Dec 24, 2022

The purpose of the AP Exams is to validate a student's academic achievement in high school, thus providing insight into their potential to excel at the college level. Whereas GPA might vary from school to school and teacher to teacher, the College Board's grading of these exams ostensibly does not.

Our students strive to excel for excellence in everything they do. Scoring a level 3 - 5 is one of their biggest desires. Since these are college leveled classes, the rigor of the lesson is sometimes challenging. We designed different ways of engaging our students in learning. Using the books gave us extra insight and extra practice.

Thank you awesome donors for believing in the ability that lies within our scholars. We thank you a million times over.”

  • Feeling Fresh, Feeling Free! Now I'm ready to learn!

    Funded Dec 6, 2022

Basic hygiene needs are something that kids should not have to worry about. Unfortunately in the community where I work and serve this is all too many times the problem. This is why I wrote to get help, and you guys answered the call.

With your help, I was able to provide supplies for numerous scholars. I wish you could have seen the smiles on their face at seeing the items we requested. It truly invigorated them and allowed them the opportunity to move around and not be worried about if they were maintained properly. Deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrush, lotion, and lip chap were readily available.”

  • Help! Water Needed in Jackson, MS

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

It is with I glad heart that w thank you for your generous donation! You can not begin to imagine how appreciative my scholars were to be able to receive the gift of clean water. As they bought the water in, pallet by pallet, the kids eyes were full of glee. I guess you never really understand the importance of the essentials of water until you are left in a position where it is unavailable. We are forever grateful that you thought enough of us to pitch in and do what needed to be done. I need you to know that Lanier High School located in the heart of Jackson, Mississippi will forever remember your kind deeds. We thank you, thank you thank you!”

  • " Clean Room, Clear Mind"

    Funded May 7, 2021

Thank you in abundance for what you guys did to ensure that our scholars were safe. Your generosity extended far beyond what I ever could have imagined. The resources were instrumental in aiding with the start back up of school.

We cleaned our class from top to bottom and continued throughout the year. We created sanitation stations and were able to set up dividers for effective teacher-student conferences.

This "Clean Room, Clear Mind" project gave students, parents, and teachers to confidence to come back into an environment free of germs, especially in a pandemic. We will forever remember the sacrifice you made for us.”

The environment of the students I served is most times undesirable and unsafe. Filled with the ups and downs of everyday life coupled with the stress of the pandemic, my scholars are constantly pushing to get out. In fact, that area has a high number of Covid-19 cases. We will purchase PPE to keep our young scholars safe. So aside from fighting to survive life, they are trying to achieve and excel in school. Well, it is my hope to make our class a safe and clean place because a "clean room produces clear thoughts."
