The biggest struggle I have is getting my students to read. They are contently telling me that they don't enjoy it. My students are in the Special Education Program, so reading tends to be tough for them. I want to fill my library with books that interest them, so that they can continue to work on their reading skills. Reading comprehension Is one of their biggest areas of need. I believe they are more likely to comprehend books they are interested in over ones they don't enjoy. Reading should be fun and enjoyable, not boring. By building this new library full of books that might interest them, maybe they will actually be fond of reading.
