My school is a Title I school that is serving a rural, close-knit community. My students are 5th graders who have been impacted by COVID. I am wanting to apply for a bottle filling station (water fountain). Many of my students are not financially able to purchase water bottles and many go without proper hydration everyday. Studies have shown that proper hydration is key to academic, behavioral, and emotional success. With the bottle filling station, students can receive adequate, filtered water from a sanitary station consistently throughout the school day. Also, under the new era of technologically assisted education, and the unpredictable nature of student attendance, it is imperative to have all in classroom experiences available for students whether they are in the classroom or not. That is why I am also seeking an Auto Tracking Smartphone mount, as well as a tripod, to be able to better record the entire classroom environment during a lesson. The more immersive environment will allow students to be more involved with a recorded/live streamed lesson which will increase overall student engagement and success. Also, I am getting a writing guide for my students to help expand an area that that as a grade level we struggle with. I'm hoping that with this writing guide it will help get the kids more interested in their learning and creating better outcomes in a crucial testing year
