  • With Paint, We Can Create!

    Funded Sep 23, 2024

My little scholars were so excited to see the new materials we received thanks to your donation. The students were very engaged with a number recognition activity using the dot markers we received. Our students have been working on counting items as well as being able to identify numerals. They were so excited to use the new materials we received.

Our students love our art center and you have assisted in helping us make sure we have the resources they need to create and learn with different art materials. They love to paint and we did not have paint for our easel until we received the money for this project. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tucker

  • A Carpet is a Place for Learning

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Our students are now using the new rug that was purchased, thanks to you, to have a comfortable and designated sitting place for large group activities. Activities that take place on this rug include our Morning Meeting, Movement Breaks, Social Emotional group lesson, and Read Alouds, just to name a few. We meet on this carpet multiple times a day. Throughout our interest areas, our students use this space for building with blocks from both our Blocks and Discovery centers. Without your donation, this would not have been possible.”

  • Sticking With Literacy!

    Funded Nov 17, 2022

Thank you again for your generous donation for our Literacy Project. We use the materials you helped provide everyday. The children use the magnetic backing on our small board to retell stories using the Velcro story pieces and moving them when they are to that part in the book. This is a favorite place in our classroom for our little learners thanks to you! As a teacher, I am able to use these materials as well when using other Velcro story telling pieces we have created for other books to teach the children how they can sequence the events to retell different stories.

The students' eyes lit up when they saw the new materials and were so excited to use them in our classroom. We keep them available throughout the day during our interest area time. It's a place where they can go to enhance their literacy skills.

We will be using these materials for years to come and appreciate your generosity and support for our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tucker

  • Make! Splash! Learn!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you so much for your support this past year! We were able to acquire the materials for the students in our class thanks to you! The children thoroughly enjoyed using their little brains to come up with new ideas to create different structures with the block set. The splashology kit was a hit in our sensory table during our end of the year water study. Students were able experiment with the test tubes, droppers, and a water syringe to see how much water would fit in each one as well as using the platform to see if they could balance the items without making it fill up with water. Students used the sensory bands to help them to listen during large group meetings on our carpet.

The students were so excited to open the boxes to see what was inside. They were even more excited to use the new materials in our classroom. We appreciate you for helping make this happen!

The materials that you helped provide will be used for many years to come and it was all made possible by your generous donation. We are grateful for you and your support.”

  • Sensory Exploration and Imagination

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting us in being able to obtain the costume dress up kit and the sand kit for our classroom. Our students eyes lit up as we were unwrapping these awesome materials. Recently, we had a clothing unit where we studied types of clothing and accessories. The dress up kits help to facilitate learning and understanding in regards to what uniforms specific community helpers wear and why it's important that they wear those clothes. We were so excited to be able to use these materials this year!

Since the dress up kits included multiple types of uniforms and clothing, we have been able to swap out uniforms to continue making our dramatic play center in our classroom inviting and engaging. Students have enjoyed dressing up and playing out different scenarios they come up with including different outfits. This is an excellent way for the students to engage with each other and increase their social emotional development as well as communication with peers.

The sand kit we received has been a great addition to our sensory table exploration. This center has not always been open, and receiving more materials has helped us to create an inviting place for students to interact with more hands-on-materials and be creative with their creations.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tucker

  • Lights Up!

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

Thank you so much for your support in helping us obtain a light table for our preschool classroom! The children were so excited to see the new table and have enthusiastically interacted with different materials provided. Their faces "light up" every time they see the table turn on and when the colors change. The table has created another opportunity for communication, even from those students who may not otherwise communicate their wants and needs in an developmentally appropriate way have been using their words to express they would like to have the light table turned on or a change in color.

The children have enjoyed playing with the different materials we have provided on the table and experimenting with all the different colors the light table has to offer. Our light table is located in our library and writing center which we use every day during our center rotations. We have provided items for counting, number recognition, letter recognition, and writing practice with the light table.

We appreciate you all for making this happen for our classroom.”

  • School Supplies for Preschool Blended Class

    Funded Nov 17, 2020

The students in my classroom were so excited to see the materials you funded when they arrived at our school. Their faces lit up with excitement! The children couldn't believe all the new materials that they were able to engage with in our classroom. This year has been challenging, to say the least, and these packages made it so much better.

We are currently studying buildings in our classroom and the children have used the magna tiles to build multiple different structures. Each day they find new ways to put the tiles together, learning about shapes, buildings, counting, weight and many more learning concepts. The children have been able to make their own structures using the construction paper and art supplies you provided. Next, we will be using blue construction paper and white drawing materials to learn about blue prints and coming up with blueprints of their own for their next building adventure.

The children have enjoyed learning about sorting, money, turn taking, and counting with the cash register and dish set you have helped us obtain for the classroom. We appreciate all your support in getting these much needed materials and they will be used for the rest of the year and many more years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tucker

These materials will be used in hands-on learning experiences in classroom centers in our preschool blended classroom. Our preschool children learn by these hands-on experiences and by play. Fine motor, language, literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills are just some of the areas that these materials will help enhance learning opportunities in our classroom centers. The art supplies will be used for each child to create individual pieces of art. The children have been talking about getting a baby doll for our dramatic play center so they can pretend play which helps develop their social-emotional skills, vocabulary, literacy, and fine motor skills.
