The materials chosen will allow my sweet students to keep art supplies sanitary in order to keep us all safe. Up until now, we have only been able to use crayons for our art projects, for every student has their own box. The new materials will widen the range of projects for the students so that we can move away from using just crayons and explore different art mediums and their uses. With these materials, I will have the ability to plan a much wider range of lessons, thus allowing the students to have a stronger visual art program. Chosen are art supplies, such as paint sticks and markers, can be quickly sanitized and distributed to students, finally allowing them to work with different art mediums and enhance their artistic abilities. With the use of paint sticks, the need for water, paintbrushes, and other painting supplies is no longer needed. In addition, drying time is cut down nearly 90% with the use of paint sticks, allowing for more time for art education and art projects. Other supplies, such as construction paper and clay, are one-time use and will not have to be shared by students. Additionally, my plan this year is to use markers to watercolor paint. By having enough small cups with lids for each student, they can scribble the marker on the lid, use a paint brush and water to wet the marker ink, and then paint on paper just like watercolors. This is a cheaper and more sanitary alternative to traditional watercolor paint pallets. I believe that with these supplies, I will be able to provide a wonderful art program for my students.
