• Healthy Snacks to Keep on Moving

  Thank you so much for making sure my students have a snack while they are still learning.

  My students get hungry at all times of the day. They work hard and their rumbling tummies need to be filled.

  They have loved the selection of granola bars, chips, goldfish and a candy here and there. It's been nice to give them a selection to choose from.

  Many of them stay afterschool, so they are working hard all day. A little snack goes a long way for their bodies and mind.

  They are all smiles when I take out the big box. They know what's coming!

• Hands and Minds

  My students absolutely love when they can be creative.

  Being able to give them a choice between crayons, colored pencils or markers has made their day. They love new tools to bring their imagination to life.

  On Fridays we have Fun Friday and the students are able to either choose between Kinetic Sand, Playdough or building blocks. They really love this day and look forward to it all week.

  Thank you for helping me bring the smile to their faces and giving them a choice. They are still just kids who need to be able to use their imaginations and allow it to come to life. Thank you from myself and my students!”

• Tools to Be Creative

  My students and I truly appreciate your generous donation to our supplies for this school year. They love the crayons, colored pencils, markers and kinetic sand.

  My students love to be creative and with these supplies they are able to do just that. We have already started to use these tools to do some projects and directed drawing activities.

  They love that they can go from "I can't do that" to "Wow, look what I did!" Makes my teacher heart very happy!

• Phonics Made Fun

  My student love their new Scholastic decodables! There is enough of each skill to each child their own individual card. Everything they need for small groups is on that one card. It makes it easier for them and me.

  When they first saw the new decodables their faces lit up. They love new stories to read. Once they started using them they were even more happy. It is building their self esteem.

  I have used these with a few groups so far. I can't wait until the rest of the classes get to use them.

• Working as a Team to Become Better Readers

  My students are absolutely loving the educational games. They have played Scrabble, Sight Word Pop It and Boggle so far.

  Our first step was to learn how to play the games. We had to practice before we could work it teams. Once they got it they were off!

  Their faces light up when I tell them we are going to play. They work in groups and help each other. They are learning and having fun while doing it!

• Reading Plus Hands-On Fun

  My students are absolutely loving the Playdough, Kinetic Sand, Magnifying Glasses, and Telephones.

  They have been using them to find letters/words, make letters/words, and listen to themselves read.

  It has been a joy to watch their excitement as they use the materials you helped provide us.

• Decodable Books You Can Take Home

  By giving my students access to printable decodables you have expanded their chances of reading. Reading is the main goal for all of the students I see. With decodable books they can share with their parents and siblings it builds their confidence and gives them practice outside of school hours.

  My students love taking home the decodable books we have read in school. They underline key words and highlight the areas of they newly learned. They read it to adult and feel so much pride.

  The students I see are struggling readers. They have shown growth as well as confidence by using the printable books. It shows that holding a book in your hands and being able to share that is worth all the money in the world.

• Digital is the Name of the Game!

  My students and I were so excited when we received word that my project was funded. We discussed some of the things we would like to get from teachers pay teachers to make this year more exciting.

  I was able to purchase activities that my students could use remotely because my class is on the computer all day. We chose escape rooms that could be used during ELA and some for math. I also purchased activities that fit with the topics of study they were learning about during that specific month and for future use.

  The students have been very happy with the choices and it has made an impact on the amount of participation in class, as well as completion of assignments.

  Thank you for making this 4th grade class so happy with your generous donations. We truly appreciate it. This year has been hard on them but they have been troopers and this made it more exciting. Thank you!”
