I've always loved being able to bring the stories of various artists to young and creative minds. Reading aloud and showing them the pictures gives them time to think about how the artist came to be while experiencing the imagery. Some of the books will be about the life of an artist like "Van Gogh And The Sunflowers" while others will about an illustrator or creating art like "A Line Is A Dot That Went For A Walk".
Literature is a wonderful way for different types of learners to hear and see how to create art.
As I teach this year with virtual and face-to-face learning I want to be able to continue sharing stories to my students. I want them to be given the best advantage to see different types of art and hear about the lives of famous artists.
