I believe with all of my heart that the key to learning is the love of reading. If we can foster a love for reading in students then other aspects of learning will come easier. Let's face it, the better you are at reading, the easier it is to do all subjects. There's reading in math, science, social studies, etc. The more you understand text, the better your chances are that you will succeed in more classes! Expanding our library will give us a better chance to draw in our middle school students and inadvertently give them a path to better understanding text and therefore do a better job in school. "Thank you for your consideration" from the "Hunger Games" series.
