The normal "summer slide" was exaggerated by an almost 6 month gap in students' learning. Their reading skills were drastically affected by a lack of accessible materials. I want to provide my students with an inviting classroom library to peak their interests in personal reading (both at school and to take home!). I want to help my students develop a love of learning through reading. Our classroom needs a place to hold and organize our growing book collection. This cart system would benefit my students in creating an easily accessible classroom library. Students will be able to browse a variety of topics with clearly labeled bins .
