  • Rolling Around With Words!

    Funded Mar 15, 2024

I would like to thank you very much for your thoughtfulness, kindness, and generosity in donating towards my phonics class project a few months ago! It is so humbling to have people like you in this world to help support children and their learning!

I use these kits regularly as Guided Reading centers to help the students practice the phonics skills we've been working on this year and they absolutely love them! It's fun, engaging, student-friendly, and reinforces important skills all at the same time!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lippolis

  • First Graders Who Need Their Privacy!

    Funded Dec 6, 2023

We all would like to express our utmost gratitude for supplying us with the desk shields! We have used them almost a handful of times so far and they've worked out great! The shields make us feel more comfortable to take a test and not have to worry that someone is looking at/copying our test answers while we are working on it.

The shields are easily stored in a corner of the classroom(both taken out and put back). They are big enough to use on our desk, yet small enough to store. They are quite sturdy enough to be used for many more times/years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lippolis

  • Live, Laugh, Learn, and Create!

    Funded Dec 10, 2020

I can't begin to thank you enough for your incredible generosity and thoughtfulness! Upon receiving the supplies, my students have been able to complete various art projects (for both educational and aesthetic purposes), learn more real-life science/social studies topics from the Scholastic News magazine, as well as begin to develop the foundational skills to be a successful writer using the special primary writing notebooks.

I made them aware of all these new supplies and they are beyond grateful to be able to have/use them this year. I am embracing this crazy year with a positive approach that's filled with much appreciation! Thank you once again for your impact!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lippolis

This classroom project was brought to life by Perry and Donna Golkin Family Foundation and one other donor.
I feel that the Scholastic News grade-leveled magazines will keep my students up to date with the current topics and/or issues being faced/discussed. This magazine is a wonderful, kid-friendly, tool that I would love to have access to in my classroom this year and for years to come. Young children learn best through modeling and doing. Making projects through the arts allows them to become more confident and show their imaginative and creative skills. I feel these projects also improve a child's verbal as well as vocabulary skills. In turn, this will transfer over into their reading and writing.
