Our children are growing up in such a culturally diverse world. These books would give an opportunity for my students to embrace cultural diversity in a way that they could not in their every day lives. It would allow them the chance to see life, that they do not know exists, through another child's eyes. I have personally read the whole series and it was very eye opening for myself. Through reading this series, I hope that my students will be grateful for the every day gifts they may take for granted without even realizing they do.
