I will be partnering with another 8th-grade Physical Science teacher to oversee and facilitate student teams in our classes as they create, test, evaluate, and refine their electricity-powered inventions. Students document their team's progress from problem-solving to their development and revision of their electrical prototype during the engineering design process. Students will document their progress using their STEM notebooks. Growth will be emphasized by allowing students multiple attempts to refine and explain their electrical prototype. Our student's understanding of electricity will be evaluated using formative and formal assessments. Students will present their electrical invention to community partners and peers.
