The use of "Roll and Write" activities, as well as other interactive word work/ Phonics and math activities is almost a daily routine in my classroom, especially in writing. During my center time students will usually break away into small groups, engage in their designated area and do their daily work, whether that is word work, math center, reading center, dramatic play area etc. Due to the education system being flipped on its head, teachers are having to rethink how we do everything; centers being one of them. My students are now having to stay at their seats with their own individual center activity. The use of a printer and a laminator will significantly ease the burden of having to figure out how to deconstruct a center activity and distribute it among my students.
Even though the need for paper is a necessity in a classroom, having effective word work, or math activities that's printed out & laminated can allow for the same activities to be used multiple times, especially when a student needs the additional support.
