  • Exploring and Discovering the World Around Us Through Play

    Funded Jan 25, 2024

What an exciting day it was to receive an email informing me my project had been fully funded! My students helped me unbox the supplies and squealed as each item was revealed as if it was Christmas morning.

Since receiving our supplies my students have had so much fun playing and exploring. I printed and laminated activities to use in each center. Students enjoyed writing letters and numbers with their new markers, and for the first time students were able to use the light pad with our new numbers! They also enjoyed using the play dough and tools.

Thank you for investing in the lives of my students by providing educational items to advance their learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Parker

  • Creative Minds Want to Grow!

    Funded Feb 4, 2023

My students were so excited when we opened the resources you sent! We began using the markers and erasers to practice our alphabet. Next, a center activity was used in the play dough center. I laminated card stock pictures and the students were able to manipulate the play dough into the shape of different kinds in insects. This allows creativity, strengthens fine motor skills and increases their language skills as they talk about their insect!

My class is thankful for your donation and I look forward to watching their creative minds grow even more!”

    With gratitude,

  • My Imagination Station

    Funded Jan 7, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation to our project "Imagination Station." My students love our classroom dramatic play, but it needed more resources. Every day they cannot wait for their turn to play in the center. When the resources arrived, I allowed the students to help me unpack the boxes. I wish you could have heard the cheers and squeals as we opened each box! They were extremely excited and were eager to begin playing with all the items.

It was exciting to see the students dressing the dolls, talking on the telephone, and cooking with the pots and pans. Having these resources readily available in this center allows students to strengthen their oral language skills, practice problem solving, and explore their imagination through play!

Thank you again for your generous donation. Not only did you provide tools to help my students develop and strengthen crucial skills, but you also ignited their imagination!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Parker

A dramatic play center in the classroom allows students to explore different roles within the center. Role-play helps students develop crucial social-emotional skills needed to communicate, problem solve, and provides freedom to express themselves. Students not only are able to increase cognitive skills but also strengthen motor functions and coordination through play and many other skills needed. For many of my students, this is the first time they are able to explore sharing and getting along others . The development of this skill is vital during the primary years and establishes a solid foundation for the next stages of development, continuing well into adulthood. By donating these items to our dramatic play center, you provide the tools needed to help my students reach their full potential.
