Mic It Up to Learn
Funded Dec 22, 2020It is with sincere appreciation that I thank you for your generous donations for the Kensington Hi-Fi headphones will allow them the ability to better hear Instruction by drowning out background noise. My Student's will greatly benefit using these headphones virtually for projects and zoom instruction. At the moment, we are constantly on Zoom, which makes it difficult for our students to maintain consistent attention and concentration. The Kensington Hi Fi Headphones will be so helpful for them to mitigate distractions.
My students have definitely benefited from the use of the Kensington Headphones and hopefully will continue to for the near future as much of the work needed to be done will still be done online. It is with great hope that they will be especially beneficial for those who need it the most. I have noticed for those students I have been able to deliver them to, they seem to be less distracted and more dialed in in this remote setting we are in. Thank you all the support and difference you've made with your amazing donations.”

Funded Feb 7, 2021I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for your generous donations for the Word Building Tiles Class Set and the Word Family Flip Books. My Student's have already benefitted from their use virtually as I have been able to share screens with them on Zoom allowing to see and make use of the wonderful visuals which accompany the words. At the moment, we are constantly on Zoom, which is a difficult application for our students to maintain consistent attention the ability to view the tiles with visuals shared has been so helpful.
My students have truly benefitted from the visuals even if at the current time they are not able to physically manipulate the Word Building Tiles and The Word Family Set due to our virtual setting along with our conditions at present. They have already gained some benefit and especially from those who need it the most. I have noticed increased participation from even those students who are typically reluctant. Thank you all so much for the support with your donations. You have really helped make a difference.”

Funded Oct 6, 2020The impact of the Ipad and case and Targus case is amazing not only on working with the students on STEM related activities, but it has been a Godsend in helping my students with technology issues. Since the students in second grade all use Ipads I can better work with them understanding the unique questions involving the Ipad not just when sharing math and other STEM related activities but general questions particular to the Ipad within our virtual setting.
As all of our learning at present is done remotely, my students love activities that deal with STEM especially math and sharing and solving. Using the Ipad to solve problems in unique ways to display and show their efforts. Our school has adopted the "CGI" approach. Cognitively Guided Instruction is where we discuss and solve math problems, do math related activities, and help facilitate class discussion oftentimes putting our work on Seesaw to display it. At some point we will be returning to a hybrid classroom and this iPad and protective case is necessary to continue small group instruction during our math block using it for students to solve math and other problems. This is truly amazing. My students are grateful for your generosity.”
