This book will assist me in my dual pronged approach to learning. The book itself introduces common and complex scientific language that my students are not familiar with as well as assisting them with reading comprehension and an introduction to the fantastic world of books. In The Martian, the protagonist uses science to solve real scientific problems in an effort to survive and escape from Mars. We will look at some of the experiments that Mark Watney (protagonist) uses to solve problems on Mars and analyze them in the classroom to bring science down to earth!
