In an effort to motivate my students to show good manners and respect, as well as treat others with kindness, I have started a new reward system. When my students are caught being kind or respectful at school, they earn a special card. After 10 cards, I would like to give them a special button to wear, which will let other students and teachers, as well as their parents, know that this student did a great job! Noticing kindness and respect in our class has spread throughout the school, with all the classes implementing the system. I will be able to share the button making machine with all the teachers in my building, as we strive for every student to earn buttons.
