In the early elementary years of learning, recess and physical fitness are essential for students. This time helps students to refocus when they re-enter the classroom. During our scheduled recess breaks and physical education class we would love to offer materials to our students that would engage their gross motor development and allow them to engage in team building activities. I am excited to see our students learn how to throw and catch together using our balls as well as our beanbags. They can also estimate and measure distances as they throw and gather these belongings. They will develop balance as they walk on and rearrange our obstacle course. They will learn left/right directionality with our parachute (it is a childhood favorite). Would you join us in adding to the learning that is already happening inside the classroom by helping us with our recess equipment?
