This classroom project was brought to life by Optimum.Financial Literacy Starter Kit
Funded Nov 10, 2024The resources given to introduce students to financial literacy has been successful. The students were eager to learn how to save money and how saving money is beneficial in the future. Students were surprised to learn that saving a little now can have a substantial impact later. A student was challenged to save a $1.00 every time he spent a $1.00 at the school's vending machine. The concept did not take off like I thought but we are working on new techniques to save money. The students seem excited to try this, and I am hoping and educating at the same time students will use these techniques for a lifetime.”

This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Supporter and one other donor.Facts of Life
Funded Sep 7, 2024The resources that were purchased for my class is helping students concentrate on their objectives without disturbances from other scholars working on group assignments. During group activity there is one station that is led by technology and students performed better with the headphone usage than without. Students were able to concentrate and complete the learning objective. The students appreciated the healthy snacks, and it was a blessing to be able to provide for a student when he or she is in need. The Cannon printer is invaluable resource to have on hand when students lose their assignments the printer allow reprint in an instance.
Understanding the different needs of scholars is an everchanging process. Organization is key to maintaining classroom management and keep scholars' task oriented. The pencil dispenser has solved the issue losing pencils and maintaining a clean area for supplies. Maintaining a clean environment during cold season is important. The donation of Lysol disinfecting wipes ensures the class is clean and ready to meet students daily. The cleaning products are used daily to ensure scholars have a clean environment to learn and grow.”

Overcoming Trauma
Funded Feb 8, 2024As a result of your donations, the students used the resources provided during " Learn and Eat." "Learn and Eat" aims to show students the learning process and that eating a healthy snack is paramount. The ability to understand hunger is not the end and the distraction will prevent the student's success. The students were excited to see the donations and resources to apply them to the classroom. The next step for the students is to evaluate their needs and how to repay the kindness by becoming the best scholar they can be despite their current conditions. Hope is beautiful and when nurtured it is awesome to witness.
Current classroom lessons focus on paying it forward. The students decided to pay it forward with the concept of hope. The students tell their classmates how the donations have made the class more tolerable and cheerful. The students have expressed how much the donations have brought a little hope during the lesson. The motivation to "Learn and Eat" is a success. Thank you for the donations.”
