With this 3D printer I will be able to give my students physical models of statues, historical innovations, and historical leaders. In history class there are many situations through out the year that we talk about art. Most of the art shown is through statues and architecture. With 3D printed models the students will be able to see and manipulate objects we are talking about. We also talk a lot about historical innovations and how they impacted humankind. Again I believe giving the students 3D models is a valuable asset. This will bring pictures off the board and into their hands. Lastly I will be able to print off items that represent leaders through out history or I can just print out a model of them. Giving the ability to the students to hold and see a physical models of statues/architecture, historical innovations, and historical leaders would be a valuable asset to my class. Students in class will be able to learn more by taking the picture off the board and putting it in their hands. I believe my class will be more engaged and will gain a deeper understanding by manipulating and actually holding objects from history. I want to be able to give them the museum artifact feel in the classroom.
