  • Everyone Matters

    Funded Oct 27, 2023

Thank you for helping all students feel included in the classroom. I have included the books I received from Donors choose for centers around my classroom. This has helped students who feel different or have difficulties fitting into class find strategies that have helped them become more successful in getting along with peers, participating in class, and their home life. (Some parents have reached out and discussed noticing a difference.)

Since my class has had amazing success, I have also shared these books with other teachers and counselors.

Sorry It took me so long to post this. We enjoyed your books, and some of the other teachers also had some of my books.

    THANK YOU”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Koppelmann

  • Adventure Time

    Funded Jun 30, 2022

Thank you so much for your donations to help expand my classroom library. With these books, the students have loved going on various adventures and enjoy reading around the classroom.

With your donations, I was able to help around 40 students have access to a spacious range of books. Students are allowed to check out and take these books home to read. My students have even come back the next day to express how much their siblings enjoyed the book when they read to them. Along with this, my student's reading scores have drastically improved and it is hard to get them to put down their books.

Thank you for allowing my students the ability to explore new adventures while improving their reading capability.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Koppelmann

  • The Magic of Reading

    Funded Sep 30, 2021

The books you donated have increased the smiles in my classroom. Along with increasing the enjoyment of reading. In my classroom, students have access to various styles of chairs when they read. I find that more students tend to enjoy reading when they have a good book and are comfortable. With the books, you donated and our alternative seating it has become the perfect combination.

The students have yet to put down the books you donated. Some of the students have even started a competition to see who can achieve the most medals on the Magic Tree House website. This has led to numerous students having tons of different adventures. Helping to increase their reading and vocabulary skills are vastly improving.

My students and I can not thank you enough.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Koppelmann

  • Adventure Time

    Funded Mar 5, 2021

This has had a major impact in my classroom. The students couldn't believe people would be so nice and generous. I am already having a hard time keeping these books on the self. Some of my students have already started making self to text connections with the books. Students that do not like to read have even started asking to check out these books.

Books allow students to take adventures and learn lessons. These book are allowing students to be able to have life experiences that they would not normally be able to have due to living in a low income district.

I can not express enough how much gratitude my students have for your generous donations in allowing them experiences that they wouldn't normally have.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Koppelmann

Oh the places you will go by Dr. Suess shows us how reading gives students the ability to take trips and expand their knowledge. Most of my students come from low income house holds that do not have the funds to travel and are seeking different ways to experience the world around them and expand their knowledge. By purchasing these books it would allow them access to experience different parts of the world and cultures without having to travel. Thus giving and expiring students the knowledge of the world around them.
