As a Special Education teacher, one of the most crucial parts of my job is to write Individual Education Plans (IEP) and making sure my student's information is confidential. A printer and shredder will help me print those confidential documents to give to my families. Some families do not use emails, therefore, a physical copy of their student's IEP is necessary. Usually, these documents are 15+ pages. These expenses including ink and paper take a toll on our salary when I have to print for 20+ families. It is necessary for our families to have that information in a physical copy. Furthermore, I've included a shredder to help safely throw away these confidential documents. These materials will help me focus solely on teaching so that I can truly dedicate myself to my students during this pandemic.
