Do the Math and Shop Around!!! Math Toy Store!
Funded Apr 7, 2022Thank you so much for supporting this project!
We received our materials and created a math store to motivate students to continue engaging in their math skills at school and at home.
I cannot explain with words the excitement of our students when they receive their gifts. They couldn't believe they were receiving games from people they did not know and that educational games could have been so much fun.
I'm sharing some photos with the students and their gifts!
Thank you again for your generosity!”

Ms. Dominguez

Funded Jan 6, 2022Thank you so much for supporting this project!
We received our project materials the second week of January. The plan was to give students educational toys during the holiday season. We got them after the holidays, but that did not prevent us to continue the celebration in the school, among the students.

3D Printers Needed to Improve Our Community
Funded Mar 23, 2021Thank you so much for supporting this project! Every time I do a donor choose project with my students and see so many people supporting the project, my heart jumped with excitement. I could not wait to tell my students about it. You made this project possible for my fantastic fifth-grade students.
We received our project materials at the end of April 2021. The plan was to do PPE face shields for the school community, but the pandemic didn't allow us to be consistent in the classroom, and we were able to do the project right away. When we came back to school in September, we work on putting the 3D printer together. The process took us a long time since this is a very complex machine. We have to watch videos, explore, do reasoning, and lots of thinking to put everything together but we were able to do it!!!. Even though it was not in our original plan, students were very excited about building it up.
After putting the 3D printer together, the next process was to learn how to work with it. We are still in the process of learning. The students have been sending information from the computer to the printer, but we still haven't been able to create the PPE face shields. However, students have been using their knowledge on measurement, proportion, art skills, and others. Once we finalize the 3D objects, we will be sending you pictures of the end products.
Right now, I'm sharing some photos with the students working with the 3D printer.
Thank you again for your generosity!”

Funded Apr 13, 2021Thank you so much for making this project a reality! When I first saw that people had given to my project, my heart jumped with excitement. I could not wait to tell my students about it. You made this project possible for my fantastic fifth-grade students.
We received our project materials in March. The plan was to do superhero items, but the pandemic didn't allow us to be consistent in the classroom, and we were able to do the project now in June. Our students decided to do graduation items instead of the superhero since they're senior this year and they're excited about their graduation.
This project was great to do with the students. They were able to use their knowledge on measurement, proportion, art skills, and others. They also learned how the Cricut works and the different steps to follow to create other personalized projects. They enjoyed it so much, and it was a great graduation gift for them. A gift that they will be able to take to their Middle school next year.
My students were ecstatic to know that so many people supported them and helped fund our project. I'm sharing some photos with the students doing their project and with the items that they were able to do!
Thank you again for your generosity!”

Funded Feb 2, 2021Thank you so much for believing in this project! My students were thrilled to know that so many people supported them and helped fund their blue light glasses and stylus pens. You made this project possible for my fifth-grade students.
We received our project materials towards the second week of February. Since the day they received their glasses and stylus pens, they have been using them. They were very happy and excited to open and tried them. The blue glasses have already made a difference in their eyes. I noticed my students are more focused now, and they are not getting as many headaches as they were getting before. In terms of the stylus pen, they are in love with it! They have expressed that it is easier for them to write with the stylus. They also feel more comfortable because they don't have to touch the screens as much as they used to anymore.
I'm sharing some photos to show you some of the students using their stylus pens and wearing their glasses. On behalf of my students, we want to thank you again for your generosity and for making this project a reality!”

We received our project materials towards the beginning of February. The Apple pen and the case for the iPad have made it easier to use the whiteboard. We have been using the apple pen to model different strategies while teaching through zoom using the whiteboard, but we are also using it to work one on one with students while we are in person.
My students were ecstatic to know that so many people supported them and helped fund our project. I'm sharing some photos with the students using the whiteboard.
Now, I can see my students fully engage and concentrate on the lesson. Many students who had been struggling to represent their work in multiples ways are already showing progress.
Thank you again for your generosity!”

We received our project materials towards the beginning of February. The plan was to use the iPad as a second technology tool while teaching remotely. Once we got the IPad, we realized that we would use it in many other ways to support our students' learning. We have been using the iPad as a second screen, as a whiteboard to model different strategies while teaching through zoom, but we are also using it to work one on one with students while we are in person.
