Window Into Education
Funded Apr 7, 2022Thank you for your donations. Not every student has access to technology at home or the environment they need in order to catch up on the material due to absences. This technology has provided access to many students. Students are able to have better access to the daily digital lesson videos I created along with the materials posted on Google Classroom when they return from extended Covid-related absences.
My students really like working with the MacBook Pro! With majority of the students owning an iPhone, working with the MacBook became seamless to them. Having a non-DOE device also have less restrictions. This allows more site access and other functions that's blocked on school owned computers.
I have a few students in particular who's in need of the technology as they do not own any. Have this technology available in the classroom gave them the access to complete missing lessons and assignments digitally. This device has been tremendously helpful. Thank you!”

Funded Dec 2, 2020This new technology has allowed me to seamlessly integrate step by step guidance and deliver high-quality instruction during an extremely difficult school year. I use my new device to create video lessons by using the Apple pen and recording my screen instead of just showing the students videos or resources made by someone else. Additionally, I lead my class live and review misconceptions and questions by writing on my iPad with the Apple pen and sharing my screen with the class. Students can also receive immediate feedback and support they are used to getting in the pre-pandemic classroom and I can mitigate any misunderstandings quickly.
While in the blended classroom, my students have been able to use this device to access previous lessons or perform mastery tasks as I support other students in the room.
Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and helping to provide this vital piece of technology. I am endlessly grateful and I hope to continue to use these tools to create, teach, and inspire.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Chin
