Your donation of books to our school library media center meant a lot to the students. The students DEVOURED them once they hit the display shelves.
The pictures books for the younger students, transitional chapter books, and intermediate chapters books were great additions to our school library. The popular Branches series were flying off the shelves! These type of books were extremely beneficial to our 2nd and 3rd graders who are transitioning to chapter books.
At Sorgho, we strive to instill that reading is important, especially during such a crazy school year. Thank you again for the generous donation and sharing in the excitement of reading!”

Providing a variety of library books for my students is always important. However, with COVID, it has been difficult to do fundraisers, develop a budget, and spend what little budget I have this year on books for students that visit the library. All students in my elementary school would benefit from having more books to read so that they can continue to grow and fall in love with reading. Reading has power and I want that power in their hands. A lot of the Scholastic Branches and Acorn series are popular with students in my school, especially those that are transitioning into chapter books. The chapter books and pictures books will provide a much needed refresh and excitement for many students. I am blessed to work, teach, and read to so many deserving students and I know that any book placed in my library will be loved by many.
