New Art Program Needs Supplies!
Funded Sep 22, 2020My students are having a great experience using multiple items from our art supplies order that was graciously provided to us thanks to you! When I told them that we were very fortunate to get such a wide range of art supplies, they were so excited, and said they could not believe how easy it was to get help purchasing art supplies for our classroom.
Currently they are working on this project that I call the Noodle Doodle!
They have been using the mixed media paper, along with the colored soft pastels, Crayola Markers, and the blending stumps. The blending stumps have allowed them to practice shading techniques, creating a more 3-dimensional look of their noodles. They realize, after using q-tips that it's a luxury to have blending stumps! They work much better.
The markers and colored soft pastels are being used to add vibrant color to the background. The first layer is marker. Then they are going back and adding another dimension of color with blending the soft pastels around the edges.
We received many more materials than what is shown in these photos. We have many upcoming projects, such as acrylic still life painting for my high school art 1 students, and Unity paintings for middle school art where they will use tempera paint. We will also be using our rubber mold for Gyotoku, Japanese fish printing in the spring.
We thank you a million times to contributing to our art supplies!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Tiemann
