Every week or two I have a different focus skill for my students. The books on my project align with the focus skill which is also aligned to Missouri State Standards. Each week during the whole group instruction we will read the read aloud and identify how the book uses the focus skill. We will read to identify letter sounds, word patterns, rhyming, punctuation, characters, setting, vocabulary, types of writing, and more. Having these books in hand will allow us to read them together and I will not have to pull them up on the computer like we currently do!
